Abstract
The continuous, noninvasive blood pressure measurement with CNAP technology by CNSystems Medizintechnik, Graz, is based on the VERIFI Controller. In this thesis the VERIFI controller was described, evaluated and compared to the Penaz principle. Furthermore, a simulation environment, the CNAP Simulator, was developed and fitted with existing clinical data as test data set for simulation purposes. This data set was parameterized according to the available data, based on different criteria. Simulated data was compared according to ISO 81060-3 and thus the CNAP Simulator evaluated to correctly simulate the CNAP technology and the VERIFI controller. The CNAP Simulator was assessed to be both feasible for internal use at CNSystems and for regulatory approval purposes with an extended data set.
