Application of AHP/ANP Methods in the Raspberry Fruit Cultivation Process

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to identify and show the influence of selected factors on the optimal management of industrial scale raspberry fruit cultivation. The analysis concerns a professional plantation in tunnels, which has an integrated raspberry fruit production system based on long-lived seedlings. The article identifies four main impact factors: infrastructural, technological, logistical and organizational, followed by their specific sub-criteria. Finally, an analysis of the optimal choice of production scenario in terms of environmental impact and a sensitivity analysis of the selected raspberry fruit growing system was conducted. Thanks to the application of AHP/ANP methods, priority values for factors affecting the efficiency of raspberry fruit cultivation were calculated, and the optimal production scenario was selected. The knowledge gained from the research contributes positively to the sustainable development of agriculture and allows to rationally distribute the costs associated with the raspberry production process.
