Abstract
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is the primary cause of hypothyroidism, resulting in insufficient thyroid hormone production, mainly thyroxine and triiodothyronine. Treatment involves achieving desired hormone levels through the oral intake of thyroxine hormone, primarily levothyroxine. Achieving adequate patient-specific thyroid hormone concentrations typically requires several visits with medical professionals. In this study, a patient-specific levothyroxine dosage has been identified using a model-predictive controller-based levothyroxine dosing strategy. The proposed study demonstrates that the designed levothyroxine dosing strategy yields a reliable response and even considers variations in the patient's biological parameters.
