Abstract
Analytical electron tomography, using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) or electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) is a powerful method for three-dimensional elemental mapping at the nanoscale. The quality of 3D elemental maps is, however, generally limited by the amount of data, which can be acquired within reasonable time and without damaging specimens. A method which efficiently combines all available signals in a joint regularized reconstruction, allows to obtain reliable, high quality reconstructions also from limited data.
