Abstract
A Digital Production Twin of a machine tool can be accomplished with the Common Simulation Engine (CSE) based on a Virtual Numerical Controller Kernel (VNCK) of a corresponding control of a machine tool. The main advantage of the VNCK simulation lies in the detection of syntax errors, which cannot be found via a 3D-simulation. As a result, the Numerical Control (NC) code can be regarded as validated except the used machining data. In this paper, a method is presented which can validate the complete NC code before it is tested on the real machine tool.
