IPSERA 2022 in Jönköping Sweden will be focused on “Building Bridges”. In the wake of the Covid-19 crisis we have experienced the vulnerability of our supply chains and now, more than ever, we need to overcome hinders and borders and collaborate between countries, companies, and functions. The world is looking to Purchasing and Supply Chain professionals and academics to understand how to organize their supply chains, how to purchase securely and responsibly, and how to build resilience, flexibility, and agility to prepare for the disruptions of tomorrow.
Digital transformation and the need for online resources and relevant and accurate data are opening up new and exciting opportunities for the management of Purchasing and Supply Chains. It is also aiding in networking and the sharing of innovative ideas. This enables new ways to tackle sustainability challenges, e.g., through better transparency and control of supply chain risk.
