Parametrisation strategies for materials models used in thermomechanical processing of alloys

Activity: Talk or presentationPoster presentationScience to science

Description

Physically-based models are used to predict the microstructure evolution as a function of processing parameters to design a suitable thermo-mechanical processing route. However, these models usually involve some fitting parameters that need to be adjusted to improve the model’s accuracy. This work presents a general framework for automatically adjusting the fitting parameters using deterministic and stochastic optimisation strategies.
