X-Town: Systems Not Objects. The conservation line in London´s East End follows centuries of non-stragic urban change which has seen the continuous fabric of the terraced house broken, far removed from the living system it once was. By appreciating that the terrace works only as a system we are able to put in place a new strategy which can bring back to life a fabric long derelict [...] turning the fabric inside-out and drawing on the potentials of the hidden soft city and the Shadow Vernacular.
