The Institute of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology offers lectures about chemical engineering thermodynamics, chemical reaction engineering and mass transfer unit operations in the field of chemical engineering, biochemical engineering and environmental technology for the studies chemical engineering, chemistry and mechanical engineering.
The main research activities of the institute are related to topics in thermodynamics of substances and mixtures, homogeneous, heterogeneous and heterogeneous catalytic reactions, mass transfer with chemical reaction, development of fuel cells, liquid/liquid-extraction, high pressure extraction, distillation, drying, off-gas purification and wastewater treatment for the isolation of valuable products and the removal of contaminants.
The research covers fundamental research, scale-up to pilot-plant size, apparatus design, basic engineering and process intensification in cooperation with governmental funds and/or industry.
