Short Description:
The research of the Institute has been defined by the following topics: methodology of engineering geodesy, foundation of the measurement methods in civil engineering, measurement of the geometry and the deformation of objects, monitoring and guidance of processes in civil and geotechnical engineering, measurement systems and sensors, experimental methods and modelling. The Institute has a well equipped Measurement Laboratory for research and calibration of sensors. Currently the Institute concentrates its research on Geo-Monitoring of landslides and the development and application of fibre optical sensors.
