3D-Gebäudemodelle - Realistic Consideration of structural behaviour with 3D-Modelling

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Nowadays, three-dimensional building models are a "must" in the overall planning of irregular, more complex and / or unconventional structures. In structural engineering, the use of these models can lead to a quality jump regarding the prediction and assessment of realistic structural behaviour of building constructions. In addition, they offer significant advantages for the coordination between all contributors, so that conflicts in planning and execution are recognized at an early stage. Overall, these models can be seen as an innovator for improvements in technical and economic terms. Altogether, the structural design with holistic 3D calculation models offers an enormous potential for optimization that should be prepared for practical application in the context of this R & D project.
