The goal of the infrastructure project is the setting up and operation of an Austrian-wide innovation lab for testing of unmanned aerial systems in Austria. With a multi-site concept it should be enabled to carry out tests of UAV applications under challenging weather conditions in alpine areas, to study UAV operations in urban areas and to survey and inspect critical infrastructure using UAV's.
