Specific project aims are to i) constrain the Cambrian Radiation by glauconite age dating from well-characterised sections in South/Central Australia and China, ii) calibrate glauconite as a recorder of seawater metal isotope composition by combining laboratory mineral synthesis and laboratory alteration of natural glauconites, and iii) identify the environmental conditions that triggered the Cambrian Radiation by analysing metal isotope proxies recorded in glauconite."
