ASAM-G Driver Functionality

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

ASAM is a European project designed to define a hardware-independent environment for measurement devices in the frame of STAUMECS (Standardization of Automation, Measuring and ECU Calibration Systems). It should allow the integration of hardware and software of different manufacturers to form test environments in the area of automation. The partly defined interface ASAM-G is responsible for the connection between measurement devices and control software, both independent of hardware. A main component is the ASAM-G Coordinator, whose functionality should be defined during this project. A first prototype implementation is currently under development.
