Aufstockung - K-Dissolution reactor - Scale up

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The purpose of the project is to simulate the dissolution reactor for multilayered foils. The target of the process in the reactor is to dissolve polyethylene PE and other polyolefins, while the aluminum and PET part of the foils remain solid and intact. The process parameters inside the reactor are a temperature of 120 °C and a target residence time of 30 minutes. Currently the reactor is operated in batch mode, which should be later converted into a continuous process. One of the goals of the optimization with simulation is to prevent the floating of the foil shreds.
