Modern technology is increasingly leading to complex systems with high demands on performance, robustness, safety and availability. As a consequence, advanced control and process automation methods play an important role in achieving these requirements.
This research project deals with the development of new concepts for the following two key aspects of automation:
1) Processsupervision, monitoring and fault diagnosis, and
2) Advanced control of complex systems.
For these purposes we apply and develop new methodologies from the research fields of Control, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Mathematics to develop and implement a novel concept for the automation of complex systems.
