The project shall explore the field of autonomous serial connected inverter for applications such as battery charging and electric driven vehicles. Key interest is the functionality and stability of the system, the degrees of freedom towards use of different battery types and the individual balancing of differing state-of-charges. With regards towards electric vehicles the project intends to investigate a complete new system architecture, where traditional system components such as the inverter are defined in a completely new way.
