Brownfield - Lean Basics and Digitalisation

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The production programme includes, among other things, glass-fibre reinforced enclosures, cable distribution cabinets with accessories, meter distribution cabinets as well as complete systems. Due to a restructuring within the production network, it is now possible to replan production in the course of brownfield layout planning. In the course of the relocation, a total of almost 1,000 m² (600 m² of which was production space) became available. Within the scope of a brownfield layout planning, production areas are to be planned according to demand. In the course of this project it is therefore necessary to determine the required areas and to create possible layout variants. In addition, structural adaptations of current production areas are also possible (expansion, dismantling, conversion). Goals of the project: 1. identification of necessary production machines/manual workplaces and required capacities 2. brownfield layout planning 3. support in the further detailing of a selected layout variant by means of a simulation model
