Description

The first part of this work represents an approximation method of travel time calculation of automated storage and retrieval systems with multiload carrying attachments in single- and double-deep ABC class based storage assignments racks. With this calculation method it’s possible to calculate the throughput of different automated storage and retrieval systems in case of multicycles. The number of rearrangements and their incidental ways are considered as a function of the storage filling degree. The second part deals with a strategy analysis of automated storage and retrieval systems in dynamics ABC class based bufferstorages. A dynamic bufferstorage is a storage to take high capacities of loads for a short time which are delivered if required. Different types of operating strategies are investigated and valued.
