CD-Laboratory for Brushless drives for pump and fan applications

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

By cutting price, energy usage, and size of fans and pumps for automotive applications, the project contributes to securing todays automotive freedom under increasingly tight environmental constraints: This project jointly addresses the design of the mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-static parts of auxiliary pumps and fans used in automotive applications. It thereby enables the energy, volume and mass savings potential to be exploited through the design of integrated concepts. In addition, such improvements are expected to open up new fields of application, leading to further reductions. Preliminary data suggest long-term reductions of up to 50 %.
