Description
Properties of discontinuities reflect the structural development of a rock mass, they govern the geotechnical performance and behaviour as well as allowing the derivation of stress states in rock masses. The microfabrics of rocks determines the mechanical anisotropy of the material as well as the weathering, deformation and fracture behaviour of the rock.
