Description
Interesting new compounds like carbonitrides (CNx) and boroncarbonitrides (BC2N) have been characterised by electron diffraction and EELS. The chemical composition of these compounds was investigated and EELS near edge fine-structure analysis (ELNES) yielded further information about the inner structure of these materials. Thereby x-ray data could be confirmed.
