Conjugated Polymers

    Project: Research area

    Project Details

Production of conjugated polymers following various synthetic routes (e.g. ROMP, Heck- or Suzuki- coupling, radical polymerisation) using monomers known from literature as described or slightly modified or new monomers synthesized especially for that purpose. Aim products are polymers for electro-optic or optoelectronic applications, e.g. electro-active materials to be used in organic light emitting diodes (OLED's) or lasers, materials to be used as transport layers (for holes and/or for electrons), photoconduction layers, NLO-materials, etc. By new production methods self assembled transport layers were developed (condensating chemical vacuum deposition -CCVD).
