Project Details
Description
The aim of the project is the construction of a laboratory car powered by a fuel cell system and ammonia as fuel. The whole system includes the following parts: fuel storage, ammonia cracker, alkaline fuel cell, battery, control management and electrical load simulation. The electrical load simulation allows the simulation of a real driving cycle of a passenger car. Subtasks within the project are: 1) Building of an 1 kW ammonia cracker which fullfills the demands concerning a real driving cycle and the occuring rapid load changes 2) Implementatiion and simulation of an 1 kW alkaline fuel cell including the necessary peripheries for the thermal and fuel management, especially for the circulating elektrolyte of the fuel cell.
