In this project, high-strength steels and joining technologies are developed and tested for their technical features (statics, application) and their service life (weathering, corrosion). In joining technologies, the focus has been placed on CMT welding, capacitor discharge welding and on rotatonal friction welding. The light-weight construction potential of the high-strength steels is developed with the "Use case prop". At the end of the project, tested lightweight construction prototypes, their weight and corrosion properties are known.
