European Electronic Signature Standardization Initiative

In the framework of the European Electronic Signature Standardization Initiative (EESSI), CEN/ISSS and ETSI/SEC have been entrusted to develop a number of specifications for supporting the EU Directive on Electronic Signatures 1999/93/EC. In the CEN/ISSS workshop on electronic signatures (WS/E-Sign) contributions to a number of standards have been made, as follows: EESSI area AA1 - Guidelines on the implementation of secure signature-creation devices EESSI area AA2 General requirements for electronic signatures EESSI area D2 - Protection Profile on security requirements for cryptographic modules for certification service provider signing operations (CMCSO-PP); Protection Profile on security requirements for signature-creation data provision services EESSI area F - Protection Profiles on security requirements for secure signature-creation devices (SSCD-PPs)
