Project Details

Description

Experimental work is absolutely necessary in order to support turbulence theories as well as the development of appropriate calculation procedures. The experimental data will serve for program evaluation and provide the necessary information for further improvement. Special attention is focused to the turbulence driven secondary motion of the second kind in channels of rectangular cross-section. Further interest is directed to the simulation of atmospheric boundary layers in a special boundary layer wind-tunnel. At the entrance of the test section different velocity profiles may be stimulated by special devices and they are maintained via suitable roughness elements along the test section.
