The project deals with the coupled simulation and shape optimization of electrical machines. The coupling consists of electromagnetic and thermal fields as well as mechanical deformation. The simulation has carried out using space-time-methods. The shape optimization accounts for local stress contraints yielding a non-smooth optimization problem.
