Description
The standard method to machine polygon hubs is broaching. But the high costs of the broaching tool reduces this method to batch production. Gear shaping of polygon hubs is a new and promising way to open a wide field for new applications. The project parners are TU Budapest, TU Munich and a producer of gear shaping machines.
