Project Details

Description

The main goal of this project is to derive a high-accurate gravity field model of the Moon from the data collected by the GRAIL mission. We particularly shed light on the separation of gravity field parameters from geophysical parameters. To reach this goal we make use of dynamic precise orbit determination in combination with a novel inference technique in lunar sciences. The latter is based on expertise gained from gravity field recovery of the Earth.
