Description

In this project, new catalysts and alkaline electrolytes for the production of electric energy with ethanol in fuel cells are developed and optimized for portable and stationary applications. The alkaline fuel cell enables significant better fuel utilization and the use of platinum free electrocatalysts and economical materials for cell components in comparison to commonly used acid fuel cell systems.
