HF16-215 Innovative measuring method for measuring the noise insulation of noise barriers in situ

    Project: Research project

    Project Details

The determination of the performance of noise barriers today takes place in the reverberation room under diffuse sound incidence. When measuring in situ, numerous challenges arise, also due to the prevailing boundary conditions. The Adrienne method used today in Situ has numerous drawbacks, among others, it is applicable only to planar structures and delicate in relation to the measuring process. The deal would be a method of measurement that would allow predicting the effect of noise barriers regardless of the type of noise barriers, but could also be traced back to the values determined in the reverberation room. In the context of this project, an innovative idea for in situ measurement will be explored and to be further developed.
