Project Details

Description

For the development of building systems in CLT design, the design of the connections is a central issue in addition to the design of suitable components. The research partner Sherpa Connection Systems GmbH has developed a mechanically optimized prototype for a mechanical connection. which will now be examined with regard to the building physics properties and in particular its sound-technical effect and optimization potentials will be shown. Through appropriate structure-borne sound analyzes of the components connected to it, the influence of the compound on the frequency spectrum in its transfer function is examined and analyzed with respect to the sound effect mechanism. The aim is the joint further development of the prototype for a future system application in cross laminated timber construction.
