Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The basis of this research project is the idea of a glue- and metal-free wood based board, which can be added to a plate-shaped building material solely by the shape of the individual boards. The resulting building physics and static performance and the resulting potential for optimization will be investigated and possible component structures examined. In a further step, the wood chip material resulting from the shaping is to be used with suitable binders as insulating material in these structures. The goal is to develop sustainable, demountable and, as far as possible, chemical-free components and to create a construction system that represents an alternative to conventional timber construction systems even for modern small and medium-sized carpentry companies.
