HF18-118_Analysis of prototypes of attic staircases under different climate conditions

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

ContentIn connection with the air pressure of our increasingly tight building envelopes, higher humidity at the top of the building, high temperatures on the inside and simultaneously low temperatures on the top of the attic, the demands on attic staircases, access panels and flat roof exits are increasing in terms of building physics. The extreme climatic stress brings with it the risk of mould growth, condensation and moisture damage. The company's prototype was examined with regard to improved climate tolerance by means of a suitable test scenario and measurement procedure, and approaches for optimisation as well as for further prototype construction were identified.
