A hydrogen-diesel dual-fuel combustion engine technology will be investigated and developed during the planned research project. The propulsion technology presents a practical solution for applications in the heavy-duty transportation sector. The technology has the potential to combine power and durability of a typical diesel engine with the lowest cost-to-CO2-reduction-ratio of all existing alternative propulsion technologies.
