Project Details
Description
IEA AFC Task 30 deals with the electrochemical production of hydrogen through the electrolysis of water. This well-established technology enables emissions-free hydrogen production and thus storage of excess energy. Despite its long history and commercial availability, the technology - especially PEMWE and AEMWE - faces several challenges.
Within Task 30, appropriate solutions to these challenges are being investigated and results and developments shared among the world's leading research institutions and companies. This takes place in a series of annual workshops.
Austria's participation, represented by the team from the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology at Graz University of Technology, will make this exchange accessible to national stakeholders on the one hand, and make Austrian research and development visible worldwide on the other.
