IKP4Mobility - Measuring system and isokinetic probe for the measurement of total water content in mobility applications

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to develop a prototype of a compact and universally applicable measuring system including an isokinetic probe for the time-resolved online measurement of the total water content in flowing air. Fields of application are vehicle tests in driving operation, as well as vehicle and aircraft test facilities. The developed measuring probe may be used in rain, snow and icing conditions. At the end of the project, a prototype of a compact and universally applicable isokinetic measuring probe is available, with which preliminary experimental investigations have already been carried out. The results of the experimental preliminary investigations were compared and validated with measurement methods of the current state of the art. Following the project, an improved and market-ready product is to be created based on the experience and knowledge gained with the prototype and during the development process.
