Information Visualisation is an emerging hot topic. A number of sub-projects are being organised in this area. CHIVE (Comparison of
Hierarchical Information Visualisation Environments) will implement a framework for visualising large hierarchies and compare a number of hierarchical visualisation techniques. Other projects inlcude the
visualisation of search result sets, and the setting up of a European InfoVis research network.
