Project Details

Description

The coupling of light microscopy to vibrational spectroscopy (infrared and Raman) enables the chemical characterization of samples or domains (µm range). By this technique industrial and natural polymers, papers, dyes and fillers, electrochemical reaction products on electrode surfaces can be investigated. In addition to substance identification, studies of orientation and distribution of components (polymer mixtures, fillers) by chemical imaging and confocal analyses are of great interest, in the field of organic materials as well as in biological sciences.
