Project Details
Description
The overall research objective of the project is the explanation of the fundamental mechanism leading to initial pre-ignitions in highly boosted gasoline engines. As the influencing factors and their interaction are manifold and complex, a joint project is planned that will be processed by four institutes. In the past years all four institutes have achieved important results in their research fields.
The generated knowledge of pre-ignitions enables especially SMEs to develop tailor-made solutions for the automotive industry. First of all modelling and simulation services are to mention. But as well sensors and application algorithms are required which are often provided by SMEs.
