Description
As a successor of the Interplanetary Communication 1 project, the IPComm II project addresses a reviewing of Interplanetary Communication network architecture and protocols architecture and technologies. This comprises broadband radio communications links, optical communications as well as spacecraft navitation systems and protocols. Two exemplary strawman missions are investigated in detail with respect to technological, strategical and architectural aspects. Both, ground and space segments are considered.
