Project Details

Description

Aim of the project: Development of new components for low CO2-emission power stations based on the newest improved materials. An efficiency enhancement of 10% leads to a significant reduction of primary energy demand. Example: Efficiency enhancement from 42 to 52% in a 750MW power station can diminish the CO2 emission about 700.000 tons/a --> 22% reduction of CO2-emission. Part of TU-Graz: Investigation of the high temperature and creep resistant materials and welds. Modelling and simulation of the microstructure and the mechanical properties of these materials and welds.
