LZinfra - Life cycle tool for the sustainability assessment of transport infrastructures

Based on the VIF project "DECARBONISATION FIRST", the life cycle tool "LZinfra" should offer the possibility to evaluate transport infrastructures on evaluation levels with regard to their different sustainability. The tool is intended for the ecological (life cycle assessment) and economic evaluation (life cycle analysis) of existing routes and route variants (corridor level), building optimization (planning phase/building level) and construction processing (awarding phase/construction site level). The aim of tool development and its application is the flexible and uncomplicated determination and assessment of ecological and economic optimization potentials of constructions, materials, construction and renovation processes or route finding and network development. The life cycle assessment and life cycle cost calculator implemented in the "LZinfra" tool offer an automated and standardized evaluation process and can in turn be used individually, flexibly and easily at different evaluation levels (project phases) for the transport infrastructure under consideration. With the advanced assessment tool, sustainability assessments can be carried out for individual raw materials, building products, buildings, project processing and route options that are reduced in terms of effort, uniform, transparent and coordinated throughout Austria, and individual studies that are not coordinated with one another can be carried out. reviews are avoided.
