    Project Details

    Description

For the successful implementation of business improvement programs in a company several preconditions are necessary. This paper shall find an optimal framework to successfully manage improvement projects and to sustain the gain on a long term basis. The first part deals with the organisational infrastructure, shown with the example Six Sigma. A company organisation structure is developed, as well as for big companies as for small, independent units. Part two deals with the improvement project itself. Important are criteria for the process description, project selection, selection of the project team members, the structure of projects, the selection of benchmarks for processes and the project documentation. Finally measures are discussed to hold the process on the new, improved level.
