Project Details

Description

The research of microbiomes, the community of microorganisms, is a new field of research that has already led to many new findings. Securing the world's food supply, combating climate change and many health issues are closely linked to microbiome research and the implementation of the findings. A central aim of the project is to arouse the interest of children and young people in microbiome research, to establish a "healthy" relationship with bacteria and fungi (keyword "hygiene mania"), to sensitise them to global problems and thus to deepen their relationship to natural science and technology.
