Project Details
Description
The partial oxidation ("gasification") of biomass with downstream, gas engine-based conversion of the generated product gas into electricity and heat offers a technical possibility for CO2-neutral, decentralised, coupled electricity and heat supply from renewable energy sources. Particularly in winters with little water, when the capacities of hydroelectric power plants, solar and wind energy decrease, biomass cogeneration plants can at least partially compensate for the missing capacities and thus reduce nuclear power imports and electricity from the combustion of fossil fuels.
