MPPF - Multifunctional Plug & Play Facade (FFG 815075)

The aim of the K-Projektes Multifunctional Plug&Play Facade is the development of a technolgy platform for mosular built, intelligent multifunctional facades with high prefabrication rate for new buildings and renovation of bigger buildings. In order to reach this goal, new types of facade systems have to be developed, simulated and evaluated. In specific the development or adaptation of suitable technologies like solar thermal, photovoltaics, HVAC, and control technologies has to be performed. In parallel the total concept of an integrated modular plug&play system has to be developed. Many scientific and engineering questions aspects like, static, humidity transportation, acoustics, energy efficiency, shading, economics, aestethics etc. are being dealt with.
