MV Shunt Reactor Switching - Switching of Medium Voltage Shunt Reactors

This scientific study analyses the effects of switching shunt reactors at the medium voltage level. The focus lies in analysing the over-voltages on the most important equipment, whereby the simulation results are evaluated with the equipment specifications and relevant standards. The influence of a station service transformer is also discussed.
