Near infrared phosphorescent indicators

Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Red-light excitable indicators based on platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes with benzoporphyrins are synthesized and characterized. They possess long-lived NIR luminescence which is quenchable by molecular oxygen and therefore are promising for optical oxygen sensing. Influence of different substituents on the photo-physical and oxygen sensing properties of the indicators is investigated. Particularly, spectral compatibility with light sources, indicator brightness, solubility and photostability are characterized.
